Ken Block Gymkhana 5 Video is NUTS

I am not a massive Ken Block fan. In fact I think he's more of an entertainer than a true racing driver. But this new video he's produced is really worth a watch.  Just insane stunt driving, and I can't believe they were able to obtain permission for all these locations! Incredible work.

New Alpine video from Renault is EPIC

When it was unveiled, I had mixed feelings about the styling of the new Alpine A110-50. But this new video they made starring Rally legend Jean Ragnotti, an original A110, and the new A110-50 is just pure magic. Love the music too.

On a special note, this was the final post from our dear friend Syed over at IEDEI who has decided to hang up his keyboard for a while and stop blogging.  I post this as a tribute to him and his incredible passion for the Alpine marque.

Weekend Watching: The Final Targa

This French or Swiss documentary has some spectacular period footage from the 1973 Targa Florio, which was to be the final year of the race as a Championship event. I know this weekend is Le Mans, but for me the Targa Florio really was the ultimate in insane road racing, even if it was never as much of a true test of machinery as Le Mans.  Where else could you find prototype cars practicing on open roads with family sedans and ox carts driving around?!

Video of the Week: Alfa vs. Lotus at Cadwell Park

Cadwell Park, for those who haven't heard of it, is one of the finest club circuits in England. I for one would love to drive there some day. Enjoy this awesome video, taken from the Alfa driver's point of view as he chases a Lotus Europa all over the track. The audio is worth cranking to the max. A pure mechanical symphony!  This is why you don't use a go-pro, friends. You'll NEVER get audio like this!
