This Alfetta Turbodelta rally car is just dope. Nicely done little video, too!

Hat tip to Simon Simmonds!

Ferrari 308 GTB Battles Alfettas at Bathurst

This is a very well done amateur video, featuring multiple camera angles. The car sounds fantastic, and Mount Panorama is probably one of my favorite tracks in the world, but I really love the battles this guy is having with a gaggle of 4-cylinder Alfetta GTs!  He obviously has the horsepower advantage on the long back straight, with the V8 in his car. But the Alfetta's superior chassis (and possibly aerodynamics as well) allows them to hang on for lap after lap! Fantastic stuff!

When one just isn't enough...

Many Alfisti can't help themselves.  You need a GTV6, then an Alfetta GT, and an Alfetta track car as well.  Naturally.  Best part is, you could have all 3 of these cars for well under 20 grand.  Talk about a bargain!

Discount Steel from behind the Iron Curtain!

Many jokes are made about vintage Alfas' propensity to rust out.  But it's no joke that these cars were built from very low quality Soviet steel in the 70s.  I recently found this alarming photo of the roof of a badly abused Alfetta GT Coupe.  For those who want to call it a myth, here's your evidence! There are bombed out Soviet tank carcasses in Afghanistan in better shape than this heap!
