Photos from Thompson's VSCCA/VRG opener

If you watched the video below you saw I was having the time of my life battling MGA's at Thompson a few weeks back! Here are some really great photos of myself in action, as well as some friends of mine in the same run group!

Sweet-looking Spider, Bradley! The roll-bar has a great vintage look. Am surprised it's legal (height). So keep the dirty side down!

It's only legal because it is VSCCA and they technically don't require roll bars. I plan to keep the shiny side up. ;-)

My "...duh..." moment on your post occurred last nite. Has the old Thompson road course been refurbished? Or were you using the infield of the speedway?

Did you enjoy yourself? I'd imagine that the Thompson Speedway/infield would be a piece of cake after Lime Rock!

They built an entirely new road circuit at Thompson that is partially based on the original circuit used in the 50s, but other parts are made up/new.
One piece of the circuit makes use of the speedway oval which you can see in the video. Overall, it is not a igh speed circuit and has a lot of tight corners like a giant karting track. The one thing I didn't like was that many of the corners have weird cambers, and are a bit difficult to really preserve momentum through.
