This car fights my love with the finnickiest of finnicky Italian problems. I enjoyed Hemmings' feature on the convertible version. It's worth noting that if you're willing to wait for the right one to come along and then wrench on it occasionally, Beta/Montecalro/Scorpions pop up on craigslsit and eBay for pretty short money. I should probably avoid stating this on Mr. Price's blog lest he take in another Italian stray :)

If he does take in another Italian stray, rest assured it won't be one of these cars, no matter how nice ;-)

I've heard these cars are money pits, even by Italian standards. No worries of me getting one ;-)

Why do Germans insist on fitting hideous wheels to their cars? The Beta Spyder/Zagato deserves something in much better taste. And the offset/ET on the Montecarlo rims (let alone their design) is simply wrong, way too deep.

Ah well. Jedem das Seine, as they say.
